Many of us are born entrepreneurs but we may not be aware of it. My passion for business development leads me to start the Passion and Purpose Podcast, to give clarity to entrepreneurs who are yet to discover the CEO inside them. In today’s episode, we are going to talk about the WHY’s, WHAT’s and HOW’s of Entrepreneurship, and I hope you’ll find your way to a never-ending adventure!

Let me take you back in time for a bit, when I thought I only had this admiration for a small beautiful house on my way to school, with a very nice front lawn with lots of plants and flowers. I love plants, but I don’t have any idea how to grow them, so I guess, that’s where the awe is coming from.

Anyway, I remember saying to myself, “I want to build a business from home someday, live in a small, beautiful house much like this, where I have my own office, work, and just stay home with my kids.”

The year was 1994 and the term internet isn’t as popular as it is today. I don’t know anyone who owns a computer and the only means of communication we have was a landline, which we don’t have. Only the privileged few can afford a landline at that time, so I don’t have the tiniest idea of how I can build a business from home.

For a long time, I didn’t know that it would matter to me. I worked different jobs, transferred from one company to another, trying to fit it.

And I didn’t. I know I can do more, but I don’t know what, how, or where to start. I need to earn a living so I was forced to forget that dream. I got trapped in an endless loop of chasing paycheck to paycheck.

The calling of entrepreneurship keeps on calling me, so I try and I fail every time. I failed so many times, I started questioning myself, and if there’s something I can do without failing.

It was 2013 when I found my way of trying the online industry, and as stubborn as I was, I tried again. Looking back, I’m glad I did. I’m grateful that I kept pushing, and found a way to build a home-based business where I can thrive, and guide other people to do the same if they want to.

On the pilot episode of the Passion and Purpose Podcast, a good friend of mine, Ms. Ann Sabdao, owner of #FitsLanguage, an ESL company that teaches English as a second language to Spanish professionals will share her views about entrepreneurship, and the best practices when starting one.

To avoid a series of failures, and years of uncertainty, we hope to share our own experiences, and business lessons learned the hard way, so you don’t have to repeat our mistakes.
